Well not exactly a stock 2.0!! :)

0.5 bar which is 7 psi, I got 161 HP and 187 TQ to the wheels
0.6 bar which is about 8.4 psi, I got 165 HP and 189 TQ to the wheels
0.7 bar which is about 9.8 psi, I got 175 HP and 200 TQ to the wheels

You can go check out the dyno plots and my car at thespildog.tripod.com/pics.htm

Man...that's great, I'm impressed! About the same as a chipped 1.8t!

When are you gonna raise the boost? ;)

Well at 9 psi, I think he's probably right near the limit the engine can take (it it still has stock internals). Very impressive numbers indeed. So how does it run now?

I am going to see this winter I guy up in Ontario by the name of Roch. I went to see him a month ago in order to have an SDS system installed with some other minor stuff. We are looking at about 200-230 HP at the wheels on a mustang dyno (based on other similar setups he's done). Remember mustang dyno is more conservative than the dynojet.

He spill, I tried calling Roch this summer about an exhaust manifold for my Rabbit, but no one ever answered. I ended up getting it all from speedstyle, like you did. Anyways I thought Id share that pointless bit of info with yah.:) Congrats on the nice dyno numbers!:D

I ment how does it feel on the street and on all around driving??? It's must feel very nice and torque driving around with that car and on top of that, your doing it all in confort and style.

yes it does feel smooth. Also, I don't have too much wheelspin because of my suspension and my turbo (max boost is at higher rpm).

thanks.......

I promise you guys.. I'm not done yet... I'll be doing a complete engine management system this winter along with some other minor stuff.. This should give me about 215-220 HP to the wheels.

Can't wait!!!

So I guess your made out of money! Seriously, where do you get all that money to put into your car. I still have to modify 1991 or 1992 cars because I can't afford anything newer and I have two full time jobs. I guess it's the house that gets all the money.

how much cash did you pump in to get that kinda setup. I'm looking to do something along those lines, and I'd like to know what kinda expenses I'm looking at. I don't need to know exactly how much you paid, just a ball park figure.

thanks.

Re: All i can say...

go to 8vturbo.com and visit trac racing and you'll get an idea of how much money it cost.

I work and play the stock market (paid for my oettinger kit and suspension), work paid for the rest...

Re: All i can say...

I've checked those places out. So I know how much the kit comes out to. I'd like know know about all those extra's that are good to have. LSD, chips, those kinda things that aren't mentioned anywhere. Seeing as how you've done the mods, I'm guessing you know what to look out for and such things. There's always hidden costs when you do these type of things. Those are what I'm talking about. Or simply mention what extras you had to pick up, and I'll research the prices on my own afterwards.

THanks,
Daso

Re: All i can say...

i currently have a chip custom made for my turbo application. However It's not perfect. The best way of doing it is to get a complete engine management system, which I will be doing this winter. Like this, you can program your new computer exactly how it is supposed to be (timing, fueling, spark etc...) at what boost level. The chip is just an approximation.
