Re: Shop around...

I've ordered a few books off amazon.com, I shopped around and their prices are usually the best. Another site is www.alibris.com, they actually have a good selection of second hand books.
I have this book and read it; "Volkswagen Sport Tuning for Street and Competition by Per Schroeder", It covers mostly the A1 and A2 platform. It gives you good information on tuning and modifying your Volkswagen. Street legal upgrades, bolt ons, installation procedures, intake, exhaust etc...
Certain things I knew but I did learn quite a bit from this book

Re: Shop around...

Well, lets put it this way,
Most of the information they give you is general, so you could apply it to even a Honda. example: bore, stroke, port & polish, suspension. If you lower and stiffen your suspension you will have good handling but a rough ride. No matter if you drive a Toyota, Honda or a GM it applies to any car. It's not the kind of book that will go into detail on how to tune your fuel injection system. I think it's a good buy. It will give you good ideas on what you might want to modify on your car.
