Fastest Volks in Montreal??

Modded 1.8T

I know of an older gen Golf (sorry, I'm quite ignorant about VWs) with a modded 1.8t, T3/T4 hybrid, huge FMIC, etc... who did a highway run against my buddy Talon. The Talon runs 12.70 on pump gas and 12.50 on race gas.

Though the DSMs are not at their best on the highway, his car is no slouch. From 120 to 265, they were dead even with the Golf *gaining* a few feet passed 240...

I have never seen that Golf on the strip though, but with slicks, I think it could go high 12s. It was build at RMR. The owner calls himself JaysTurbo.

JaysTurbo is a very fast dub, he gave me a ride last week and i can tell you that at 70km/h in second if he flores-it, the car lays douwn 80ft. on black rubber........at 16psi for now....and 3rd and 4th gear are extrammally strong...
The car still need some tuning so imagine when it will run the ways they want it to...

Seriously, i've seen one black MKIV turbo VR6 in the summer around Boucherville... the guys was at a gaz station and the car looked bone stock otherwise... Dunno how fast it was but it was sure impressive under the hood
 
hmmmm, that A3 1.8t you guys are talking about doesn't look familiar to me...maybe I've seen it, but never really reconized it..

and BMW318i, you talkin about a black rabbit?? with white mags?? :cool: if so, I know who you's talk bout!
 
So Mart..........I know what's up! I'm guessing Steph does too since he's one of the main sources!! Next summer will be a good one for vw's! No gutted out race car here! 12's with 3 friends and a trunk full of pic-nic snacks!!

The 1.8t everyone is talking about IS the BOMB! October 8th BABY!! We get to see what it's all about! Even just looking at it you know it's gonna suck all the air in the world through that intercooler! There won't be any air left for the spectators!! :x

I predict mid 12's for the 1.8t! If he's pushing slicks!

Im friends with yer bro, you know who I am. My car looks a lot different than it did 6 months ago when it was in Matts garage...dont yah think? Hows your car doing, did they fix your shifter bushings?

Hi guys,

The only thing i can tell you it's good luck, cause i don't know how fast i'm gonna be able to go, but next year i don't want to do just 1/8 of mile in spinning with my 18" rims i will try the complete 1/4 mile. We hope everything gonna work.

Well what do you drive dubguyVR6 ?
cause if your not enough fast well come se me soon i'm gonna have efficient turbo for VR6 if you have money. So you'll be able to do around low 13 and high 12's.

Itll be finished soon(I hope) As for 13 second times, I dunno about that. It takes quite a lot of oomph to run a car in the 13's, My goal at the begining is mid-low 14's, then we'll see what happens from there. Actually, my real goal is to get the engine installed and have it start!

Hmmmm, did I remember to tighten my conn-rod bolts......?Oh well!:D
