Besides the dual LNB dish, whats the difference with munchy's
3100 Receiver w/ Unlocked Rom10 for $500?

Is your plug and play like his? Or do I still gotta do a couple things to get it to work and stay up.

rom11 and rom 10 whats the difference?

Does the rom11 have to be unlocked?

Which receiver is better? the 3120 or 3100?

I'll just help Mr. Maxima out here...

His are brand new receivers and dishes like from the store... Brand new boxes with nothing done to them at all... Mine are unlocked and ready to go, but you have to get a dish yourself...

Rom11 is a newer version of the Rom card used by Bell... Rom10's can be unlocked easily and are very reliable... Rom11's can be unlocked as well but are a pain in the ass to do so...

3100 and 3120 are exactly the same receiver... Just a model difference cause you get a different dish in the package...

with my system all you have to do is get the rom 11 programed and you're set, I know ppl who do it for 60-75 bucks. One guy I know with a Rom 11 system running has been up and running since he got it programmed 6 months ago with no problems
and like munchy said, 3100 and 3120 are exactly the same
 
lots of rom11 cards are factory locked, might not be able to program them :(
other than that the receiver is the same, its a 3100 with no jtag cutout (so you open the casing, big deal..)
good system, but might need to replace card
 
btw, the cards are virgin and unlocked

NEW DEAL!!!
will sell the whole system, programmed, plug and play with the rom11 for 470 dollars!!
