need info,mk1 golf cabrio

i saw a sweet white mk1 golf cabrio this morning for sell, and is it ever ohhhh so tempting to sell my 97 gti for this one. I took a look around the car, and there is no rust, and the mileage is at 168000......
(franco, muntigel services) told me it is a woman driver(hope she is meticulous), and he would get the price for me this weekend.
i would only summer drive it, and resort back to good ol' public transportation for the winter( :doh: )......(or drive rainers car wink wink).
would it be very hard to maintain this car?
does anyone have any experiences with these cars? pros/cons?
would appreciate some feed back plz.

What motor is in it ? Original ?
