A lowlife look at JDM and Sleepr cars

I need to know something...

Why is it that I can appreciate a guy who drives a sleeper (like a 323 turbo) or a jdm car with 15 in spoon wheels (even if they look like 1991 csa's in flat black). I actually think these cars are cool and give them respect for being very performance oriented.

But when you turn the tables, these are the first guys to bitch about putting 19's and a big drop on a car.

"It decreases performance, it has no handling, it slows it down..."

You ever thought I know cutting my springs inhalf and putting on huge wheels were not for performance reasons but strictly cosmetic. And maybe that's what I want.

I'd say the sleeper guys were jealous but they would bitch and moan, so there must be some reason why everytime I post a pic of my car or a budies all the same people bitch.

Lets be honest here the majority of us started building cars to get noticed on the street. And my Benz on 19's gets alot more looks then a sleeper civic on winter rims.

And yes my car is slow, rides like shit, a bitch to keep clean, and I get hassled by the cops, but you what, you everyone goes out on the weekend it's not the sleeper your taking downtown.

And I don't want anyone to say I build car to show off , because my present car is the 7th show car I have built and I was building cars when most of you were playing with Lego. I lowered my 1st car over 10 years ago and have been doing it ever since and have always listened to the same stupid comment.

Anyways just wanted to vent!!!!!

So you can all stop moaning about Lowlife cars.

Well I was one of the first ones to bitch about lowlife on the first forum when you guys did your invation...I only want to hear one thing but none of you guys want to admit it: JUST ADMIT THAT LOWLIFE IT MORE OF A SHOW CREW THAN A GO CREW and that your street racing days are over.

I would never do the same thing with my benz but I enjoy looking at yours and I think most of your cars are nice looking.

I'll never bitch a car that's tasteful even if it has a body kit and 24's on it. LAst time in Miami I saw a new CL500 with Lorinser kit and chrome 20's and it was sweeeeeet.
There's some guys on the board with 18's on their Civics or Integras cars and it looks good, tasteful.

But take the same cars, add neons and chicken wire grills and f'n indiglo everything and hoodscoops on the roof and paint them lime green and put Troy Lee motocross graphics on them and they look stupid. THAT's what I hate, when you go f'n overboard with tons and tons of mods that just look dumb.

You just gotta know when to stop

Fug off. I'm sure some sleepers can afford shit you can only dream of and aren't jealous of anyone. It's a question of TASTE not MONEY.

18Turbo: Yes I respect the effort and I know most of them work hard to get what they have but I just want to make sure they all know(members and the rest of us) what they are: show car fans that don't have nothing do do with performance/street racing or whatever.

I hate when people from the west island talk about the lowlife cars saying they are fast and all when in fact they are not.

And don't get me started on that S2000 saying it's a fast car...yes it's fast but it would be even faster if ALL the money was at the right place.

i know what you mean... and i agree, but some people get VERY touchy when you mention lowlife... not to mention show cars... so il leave it at that

The wrx I never got to see in person and i don't know all the details about that car so I can't really give my opinion right now.

Even if the S2000 is faster than 95% of cars on the street it doesn't make any difference in my opinion. It's like putting wiper pissers on a ferrari...it's still rice.

BMW318 and old goat: I can name cars that I don't like if you want but it's going to get out of hand for sure.

the S2000 will beat 95% of all street cars.

RWDLover1: some of their cars are fast and some are not. I dont know how wll you know them but obvously not that well... They have owned many cars some fast and some not... But I dont think anyone here is able to judge what they are and what there not...
But i can assure if you go down the list of cars they have had more were go than show..

Buy taste changes with time... One day all you sleepers may not want to go fast anymore.... maybe youll just want to pimp... and when you do youl understand why SO many ppl are show.

you should of seen it when i first started to post on this site... i mentioned that i had a low rider 65 buick.and going with hydros, ...man all these kids came on and said so much crap about it and that i should stop acting like i am a ganster and started calling me names like wanna be poser wack,..
some people dont even know who i am, dont know where i come from , where I HAVE WORKED BEFORE.
I WAS SO DICOURAGED CAUSE THESE GUYS WERE people that used to come where i used to work to fix up their ricer cars.
it just goes to show u not only the mentallity in this site but also on the streets. cause most people cant do what we do or even have what we got, cause they dont have the know how or the creativity to do this kind of stuff.

anyways when my ride is ready, i will certainly support LOWLIFE, also with my LOWKLASS crew.

Jesus, I don't care if they're fast cars or not (which, by the way, would probably beat a good 80% of the cars on this board), all I know is they have some damn sweet rides and I give much respect to them and their cars...as I do to people with sweet fast rides, some that I never have even seen, like mononctsi, 323Turbo, etc...

Yes, import tuning has definately split into two different directions: show and go. The cover car for this month's Import Tuner, which a lot of people hold as the gospel for our scene, is an Integra that has an air intake and a muffler, for example. I like both type of cars, and LOVE cars that have both...

I think this is a ridiculous bunch of bitching for nothing...

Simply no... What is pimpin anyways... I always loved my girlfriend and doesn't need other ones! And I love so much the thrill of racing on a track, being a straight one or a curvy one ...

And anyways, this was not the point of RWDLover1... He simply want to hear once a Lowlife crewmember say: We are not a streeet racing speed oriented crew... He just want to hear this fact from their mouths.. yes they can have fast cars... I dont think they'll mod a tercel... But ISRC's has also good looking cars! They are not show cars but they look good.. as Lowlife fast cars arent' pure race cars, but are still fast!
