needed help with my 89 civic hb

i have a problem with my 2nd gear it makes a grinding noise and 2nd gear wouldnt run . wat could it be .
wat should i do

1-change the clutch
2-change the tranny
 
moi dapres moi sa serait surement la gear de ta 2 ieme vitesse qui est fini ,sas peut po que ce soit ta clutch si ton char avance en 1 pi en 3

You really cant get in your 2nd gear? even if you change at 20 km/h ?

-At first very fast... I would say you have some broken tooth on your 2nd gear... you should also check your 2nd gear syncho this is for your grindind noise.

Clutch as nothing to do with your problem.

i could get to 2nd gear but i really have to do it slowly and i cant downshift to 2nd gear at all ...

incorrect...he doesn't NEED a new tranny, what he needs is a new 2nd gear synchro...but for what the tranny itself is worth vs a rebuild...i would RECOMMEND getting a new transmission...

or, if your not interested in getting a new tranny or getting a rebuild...just learn to bouble clutch!
