First of all 96-up(obd-2) can't be chiped.
A p5m(97-01 h22) ecu won't work with your car for many reasons.

If you absolutely want a chiped ecu, your gona need a obd2-b to obd1 conversion harness and an obd1 ecu.

so what your saying is that it wont fit and that i cant chip my engine?what is the obd-2 is that the code for my engine?
what would be the right way to go about this, what would i need.

OBD2b stands for On Board Diagnostics,Second Generation,Version B.OBD2B refers to 99-up cars, they have a very slightly different connector layout than OBD2A ECUs.

Ok now in order to run a chiped ECU you will have to convert your car to OBD1.How?with a obd2b to obd1 conversion harness that can be found in all good speed shop or over the internet. Then obviously you will need a obd1 ecu,a p28 or a p06 from a 92-95 honda civic or if your lucky a p30 from a B16A3 delsol dohc vtec. After,go make your ecu chiped by ecutuning.com plug it in your new conversion harness and your ready to go!
