i hope you are sarcastic... 2.7 bi-turbo is his engine.

what does bi mean in a non sexual way?

ANyways great stuff, how much more will this upgrade make over the APR III kit?

The S4 engine is a 2.7L twin turbo engine.

above the APR kit.... LOADS more...

you guys thought I was seriouse about the turbo part LOL...

on a more seriouse note how many hp will this develop? ~500?

Congrats chuck, this is the setup you were talking to me about at the aw meet that will lead you in the low 12s 1/4 mile or 12 flat. Good luck

It's too soon to speculate and guesstimate anything on these K24 since it's brand new for the S4. The truth is that I have till Monday to decide if I'm gonna go with twin-K16 or twin-K24 ; pricing difference is non-material (300$US more for 2xK24). Issue is more with drivability. K16 is more adapted and more efficient down low (low-end torque) and doesn't maxout anywhere till redline at 24 PSI ; efficiency map is the greatest strengh (76% with a very large area)... So it's very drivable, power at any rpm... K24 blows 20% more and skew the power map to the right ; less low-end power but ghetto-busting-power up above 5000rpm ; in fact, in order to really max out these K24, I would have to upgrade internals, lower down compression, raise redline to 8000-8500 rpm... Conclusion : K24 are more powerful but deliver the power in a rough way, past a certain RPM ; it's less drivable..

Lag is not an issue : K16 or K24 wheels weight approx. the same... just that K24 is less efficient down low with a tiny twin-turbo 2.7L engine ; K16 breaths better down low... K24 however screams sex above 5000rpm... Difference is +20%.

Twin-K16 gave 585hp on an untuned (using GIAC X K03 Software!) Audi S4. It's good for mid to high 11s if coupled with aftermarket intercoolers, etc (stock one will get nobody nowhere...). This result was already realized so it's not theory, it's proven.
Twin-K24 flows 20% more... Should be around 700hp crank untunned. This is normally enough for a low 11sec. This is a brand new setup on the S4, nobody ever tested the kit. The first kit is to be installed this weekend by somebody in SoCal....

If you add customized software (one manufacturer is working on a K16 software already), it should add a few more ponnies.

I have also ordered AWE Tuning SMICs - 225% larger than stock w/o pressure drop. Boost will be at 24 PSI on the street all the way to redline and 28PSI on the track.

APR3 on Audi S4 gives 375 whp approx.

Twin-K16s and Twin-K24 are ghetto solutions ; they don't come as "a kit". You install 'em and you tune 'em yourself...

Twin-K16 using K03 Software (GIAC X) is 410-430 whp ; once you tune 'em, people are able to reach 460-470 whp. Customized software is in Beta stage and should free another 40-50 whp (maybe less than that... I don't expect that much to be honest)... not counting improvment with intercoolers etc... One crack-nut in Michigan has 485whp with K04/K16 and a lot of tuning...

Twin-K24 was never tested but mapping indicates +20% flow... so should be approx. 475-500whp before tuning...
