I'm working on a little project for school. I want to make a "guidebook" on how to make one's vw old school.

The way i see it:

Engine: Stay 4 cylinder
Suspension: Rake
Interior: Beige leather? Material?
Exterior: Small bumpers, "old school" color. Very clean - bit of chrome maybe.
Wheels: No bigger than 14's with either stretched or white wall tires.

Anybody's input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

why you say that old school should stay with a 4 cylinders engine ... ?
there's a lot of VR6 in the old school mk2 *tu*

what kind of school project is that!? jesus... tell me where i sign up for that class. what's the final? drawing a picture of your family?

old's cool ! you can't possibly make an accurate defenition of this for the same reason you can't turn into cool if you're not ! :D

good project anyway , should be fun !

another thing, the VR is not real old school, what you want to look for is a carb setup!

any mk1 or mk2 that is stylishly modded
The higher the OEM factor the better it is
Extra points for having the hard to find parts on the car
extra extra points for those parts beeing manufacturerd before the 90's

BTW it's bob Jones here

GTI Rulez: I just think that a true old school dub uses what was around back in the day if that makes any sense... But yeah. Old school with a VR

I'm in Design Art, to one day possibly go into industial design or product design. For one of my classes i had to write a paper on contemporary culture, and show how my chosen object (my car) reflects the culture of today. With all this, we have to link a "book" project to the paper. And i mentioned in the paper that "retro" is comming back (evidently in the vw scene). So my idea is to take that idea and strech it out into a guidebook on how to make your dub "old school".

For once in my life, I enjoy school. *tu*

one important aspect to oldskool is a car that is owned by someone whom does not need to ask what makes a car oldskool
