Does anyone have any ideas what these problems could be? They happened all on one drive home! Car is a MK4 Golf 2.slow

1- Started car after it was parked in the cold all day, and it sounded horrible just idling, as if the muffler was pierced or something... After driving for a few minutes, sound got back to normal. First time this ever happened.

2- Everytime I went over a bump, major rattle coming from front suspension (in particular left front...)

3- When driving at speed (above 80km), the second I steer left, whisling sound from left front wheel area. I can produce this sound with my pinkie on the wheel, that little is needed. If I don't touch the wheel, or steer right, no sound comes.

4- Might be my imagination, but it feels like I have no traction whatsoever starting from a standstill... As soon as I put some power down, even on dry pavement, right front starts spinning...

5- Other general "weird" sounds that don't inspire confidence...

I realize it's winter, and I drive a VW, but even so, this really began this afternoon! Not even a hint of these sounds this morning. *banghead* I have a theory on what it is, but won't mention it until I get some of your opinions. Thanks!

probably just ice caught on the front suspension, and the exhaust was frozen upon start up, just let the car warm up 2 minutes

Somehow I doubt that ice causes all of these problems... but I'm thawing the car out tonight just to be sure.

Anyone else have any ideas?

Shows what you guys know... I've got farked wheel bearing, suspension bushings, and maybe more... *banghead*

Just dropped it off at the dealer, we'll see how it goes I guess.... :dunno:
