I bought my car almost a year ago and during the summer I was looking for some mags. I found these crazy porsche wheels, the phonedials (IMO, they're sexy) and they were 16s. The dude said he had to put the sale on hold, for some reason that I forgot about. So I forgot about the wheels after trying to hunt down a set. I bought these Konigs in Jan.

This week the dude emailed me saying that the sale was back up and he'd just let them go to me if I were interested. Now I don't know if I want to sell my 17 Konigs and get the 16 porsches (plus I'd have to buy appropriate lug conversion) or just stick witht he Konigs... Sorry for the long thread! anyone have an opinion?

Depends on how much money you wanna spend on rims
i say keep it simple and keep the 17''
It would come up to the same, maybe a lil less for the rubber if I change for the 17s. I was thinking that too but someone told me I might have problems with the 17s. He said cuz they're 17x7.5 with an offset of 42 that it'll rub? I asked RMR autosports and they told me that they won't. I mean I was thinking of getting spacers eventually but I don't have the money for them now...

ton auto c`est une Mk3, si oui des 16'' serait nice. Si c`est pas mal le même prix et que tu peux vendre tes 17'' , achète les Porshe wheels *tu*

haha I'm language confused, but yeah it's an mk3. would I have to drop it more if I were to get 16s? I was planning on doing something around 1.5-1.7 drop, would I have to go to 2.0?
and where's the best place to buy some springs or cup kits lol

You'll need more drop than that to make the phonedials look right on a mk3... What kind of shape are the wheels in? Personally, I would take neither of those, but if I had to choose, hands down I'd go for the porsche wheels.

The dude just sent me an email...
"...and it comes up to about 50$US for shipping for each rim and for the conversion to Porsche lug nut specification it's 400$US plus shipping..."
:uke: :(
and it's 650US for the wheels...
I think I'm gonna be sick...
Jon

I only bought the Konigs cuz I was saving a lot of money. I paid about 650 for them, new, it was one of those "before the new season's up" sale things. Plus I don't think they're that bad IMO. I'm a sucker for rivets... I guess I'll have to live with these for a lil while...

don't forget that you're going to have to
dish out another $500 for adapters to make
the porsche wheels fit.

I'll check out that other guy, thanks man
