i've got a gli 1.8t and its time for an oil change, any suggestions on what brand?

I heard Agip is good but its expensive

just bring the carto the garage ... don't bust your balls for 10$ savings, seriously it's recommended to go to the dealers the few first times, it's better for your warranty

it's true that motul seems to be the most popular, but just to know is it recommended, like good on long terms ?? i'm just asking cuz i don't really know the best oil for VW

Motul 8100 X-cess 5W40... Not only one of the best oils for ur Dub, but one of only a few oils that meets the Mercedes-Benz ultra strick long drain interval rating (229.3)...

For the price the Dealer charges for Castrol Syntec, you can pick up Motul 8100 @ RMR... Not to mention, at least the Motul is 100% Synthetic.

There's Mobil and Motul that are VW approved and are good oils.

Castrol is VW approved, but like it was said before, not 100% synthetic.

I just put Torco in my car on my last oil change. It's been running nice until now! And like alx21 said it's apparently better than Motul or Mobil.

10$, you mean 40$.

An oil change takes about 1 hour of your time including time to get parts.
I wish I got payed 40$ an hour.
