Ok here we go

Got and SIR 99-00 motor and my freaking Vtec wonèt come on and also my engine does not cutoff *banghead*

I have Try 3 different ECU all the same resultsso I know its not the ECUs cause one of them is running in my friends car and it all good in is..

So Any of your Mechanic expert out there could think of anything that could cause the Vtec not to engage or the engine not to cutoff

if your missing info in this tread ask and i'll try to put more info that you need

Please Find the answer to this :dunno:

I was Thinking could it be My Tach ??

My tach is from a 0bd2a and the engine is a OBD2b do you think that could be an issue ??

vtec

I believe the vtec needs a precise oil pressure to be activated. If you did a swap, maybe the line you are using that goes to the vtec solenoide is not the right one, or maybe you solenoide is just scrap .... i'm just giving you some hints, but im not really an expert.
Can someone tell me if that makes sence ? *tu*

What did you connect the vtec to when you did the swap, Are you using the SIR computer? If so you shouldn't have a problem. The cluster wouldn't make any difference. They are plug and play type deal. Most people who do swaps connect the vtech to a shift light so it goes on at a certian RPM.

The Problem is I did not do that swap but japan domestique motors did...
for what I can see there is one cable going from my Vtec selenoid that goes to mydistributor harness and you can see that one cable was splice to connect the Vtec cable to it.. could be the wrong one...

I am thinking of putting a 12v switch to the Vtec selenoid cable to make it work like manually think that could work ???
