him much more into checking the water pump or thermostat, because if he goes on the highway it gets a little cooler. Check if your cooling fan starts near 3/4 of the temperature gauge, if you're near maximum gauge temperature and it still asn't started, then there is a trouble with the fan. You can check if there is power to the fan by putting a test lamp instead of the fan. it the light goes on, unplug the light and plug the cooling fan. If the fan still doesn't work, then the problem is the fan. If the light never comes on, then the problem is electrical. Check your wiring and fuses. Also try rotating your fan (with the engine cold and with the ignition to OFF) to see if it asn't seized in rust.

firs things first, do the studiest and cheapest attempt possible

bleed the system of air!!! take off your radiator cap and let the car idle for a few mins until it gets warm, the water will get hot. get a friend to hold the throttle until around 2000rpm and if there is air in the system then it will all start to bubble out. make sure you have some water or coolant on hand to pour in to replace the water. Keep doing this until it stops bubbling.

after that, follow what thunderpressure is saying

Well, if any bleeding is necessary, then he should go back to the garage who installed his brand spankin' new radiator, cause they didn't bleed it carefully.

Also, a good thing to do, to insure proper bleeding, would be to jack the front end while bleeding to insure that the highest point in the whole system is the radiator cap. The atmospheric pressure will help a lot.

If you want to know if your system is free of air, turn on the Heater. if no heat comes out of the vents, then you have too much air in the system. It should be hard to keep your hands in the vents because of the heat.

Good post nickzed, i didn't mention the bleeding because the garage is supposed to have done it. But it's a good thing to have doubts in what some garages might do.

time to change your head gasket or maybe you have a even bigger problem with a crack block.. that's what happenend to my friends G2 integra he recently bought, same overheating issues.
