i was wondering if you could give me a few ideas.
This morning i go and start up the bike, starts perfectly (blip the starter button, give 1/4 gas and it starts up right away) as usual but then while I was putting on my helmet it started burping and died. Couldn't start it again. Checked the gas and it turns out it was empty.
I filled it up with a little bit of 89 gas we keep around the house, just enough to get to the gas station to fill up with 91... Problem is, the bike won't start anymore, at all. There's hardly any fire even if I keep the starter on for a while. The gas is definetly back in the carbs as it's stinking up the whole place. I even let it sit for 30 minutes in case I drowned the engine.
This is what I don't get, the bike normally starts up perfectly, but tonight won't make fire. Or when it does it lets out one turn while the starter is on (or many one turns if I keep on the starter) but as soon as I touch the throttle, the firing stops completly.
I hope this is precise and clear enough for you guys to help me out. I'm at a loss...
edit: the bike is a Kawazaki ZX6R 1996.
