Like the title says. I would like to know where is the best place to obtain a battery for my bike: CBR 600 F2

I don't know exactly why my battery is dead. I haven't started the bike in 2 weeks 'cause I haven't had the time to tool with it. I've ordered some parts for it in the meantime. Tried starting it yesterday and it was dead, horn's dead, lights are dim and dying. Basically, all the symptoms of a dead battery. The voltage was at 11.70 and I believe it should be at 12.5. So I recharged it to 12.7 today and let it go about midday and it trickled down to about 11.9 by 8pm. Is this normal leakage for a bike battery?

check the acid level, and try to give it a slow charge. if it doesnt work after this u can always get a new one at canadian tire for a decent price.

hmm

si jamais spa la batterie.. ca spourrais que ca soit l'régulateur.. fallu jle change sur le mien.. ma batterie est morte genre.. 4 heures apres que jaille pris possession du bike..

bref 200+$ :)

jtallé pour mon 600 f1 chez cacanne a terrebonne..

I've recharged the battery I will see tomorrow if it leaks or not. I think it will, but at least I got to fire up the bike today :). How do I test the alternator to see if this is the problem? The bike started without any problems for the first 3 weeks I had it so I don't know for sure what the problem is. I will check it out tomorrow and PM you if I need the batteries, either way that's a great deal. *tu*

check PM's please.

slow charge it then go in a garage and get it tested with a carbon thing or the OTC thing
it's gonna tell you if the baterry is really finished or not
If you have a mecanic school near you they won't charge a penny , the worse that can happen is that you had to move to check it and you have to buy a new one

I know that question will sound weird to your hears...

but on what is parked your bike?? I mean, the floor is in ... ????

I slow charged it two days ago, it seemed to hold it's charge from yesterday evening when I started and ran it for about 20 mins. The voltage was at 12.4 until this evening, I started it no problem and then I stalled it getting out of the garage (there's about a 4 inch step) and then there wasn't enough juice to start it up again. I don't know if there is a mechanic school around my area (VSL/Laval), if you know of any please let me know, I'll go check them out and thanks for the advice *tu* :)

The floor is concrete. What could be the problem?
