There was a comment from a guy who made sense...
Maybe it's "by design" that the frame split... Like the newer car, all the front of the car that is moving almost to the driver position when a crash occur to absorb part of the impact. I could see the same situation for the 05 GSX-R1000 that by design, when a impact occurs, it splits in two. Not useful for the driver of the bike but if the bike hit another car, the impact is absorbed part by the frame of the bike then split in two and that way, a bit of the impact is already absorbed.
Just to let you know, car companies never say "We've made our car that part of the impact is absorbed by the front of the car if you hit a wall" nor Suzuki will say it's a safety concern **BUT**, *I* think that if it was a safety flaw, they would have to recall all the bikes.
One person said "Doing wheelies, my frame broke in two" but who knows the whole story, lot's of details were missing...
