Yo!!
Some of you may remember me from my old bike, my project 'cafe racer' -> see here ... well after seeing a good deal on LesPAC.com (best site, btw!!) I decided to put my baby for sale to get something quicker and smoother and more reliable (jap 600-800cc 4-cylinder) (doubled my money!) ... only by the time it sold, the guy with the good bike for cheap had sold it .. (for the record, it was a 24,000km, fresh rebuild 1989 Yamaha seca 650 (i think XS?) for 900$). So, having sold my bike I set about searching for another.. finding a 1986 Yamaha FZ600 (sport) with 40,000kms and..... a blown head gasket... negotiated down to 650$ and that included: carbon muffler, stage 3 jet kit with K&N pod filters, helmet w/ 2 visors, joe rocket jacket, new battery, new tires and a new paint job (spray can tho, with no clearcoat so when the previous owner (cool guy) dropped some gas on it, (hey, it happens!) it washed away some of the paint.. gonna have to redo that. For pictures of the bike as he sold it to me, click here (well, when it was clean!!) ... after the pics were taken, he drove around alot and had the aforementioned gas spill... so, without further ado, here are pics in my backyard!! (complete w/ cheesy lock!)
With fairing, battery and tank removed

right now the bike is completely stripped at my workplace (gotta love working for a bike race team!! hehe) and I'm gonna start working on the fiberglass for the seat and rewelding the exhaust with the bend.

comments please!!
