i did the alignment and the vibrating on the steering wheel is gone, it seems like my wheels are aligned. but the car sometimes go straight but sometimes the wheel turns itself and the car doesn't go straight. especially when i decelerate.
i checked the air pressure in the tires and it seems all even. what else should i check? ball joints? control arms? :dunno:
thx

it's honda civic hb btw.

The car dosent go straight when you brake...

thats what your telling??

If it is, check your brake

Maybe you have an incorrect brake fluid pressure...

Or maybe its only used brakes...

Check your drums if you dont have rear disc brakes...

no. it does also when i brake, actually it is very noticeable when i brake
but not only when i brake., like, if i let go the accelerator, the steering turns..
im guessing it has to do something to do with control arms or something like that.
anyone has a good guess??

if you are saying that under deacceleration it pulls, are you talking about when you are pressing the brakes or just coasting? if its when you are pressing the brakes then you are probably getting uneven side-to-side braking. check to see that both pads and rotors have about the same material from one side to the other

it happens when im coasting as well. that's why i don't think it's really the brake.
weird thing is, when i press gas, the car goes straight but as soon as i let go, the wheel turns abit to bit.
would it be some loose part?

I suggest just taking it to a good mechanic, if you cant see anything wrong then there isnt much anyone else can see over the internet

could also be contorl arm bushgns that re gone and one side has a bit more play thatn the other , not necessarily enough to knock ,
is there knocking in the car ??

no, there's no knocking at all.
could a power steering be a problem as well?
i'll check out with a mecano

does it pull only in one direction or in both?

if it's in both direction: you must have put wider tire and the "grip" in the road groove

i'd say it might be the outer tie-rod that's loose, but then again, if you had the car aligned, the mecanic should've made sure your direction was ok, cause doing the alignment with a loose in the direction f**ks up the job. Or the tie-rod might just be off (screwed in too tight or too loose).

could also be the upper ball-joint (table) or the lower ball-joint.

Of course, like Johnny Walker says, if the alignment was done at Canadian Tire, you never know, some num-nut that works there probably didn't check shit and just did the job quickly *banghead* *td*
