HELP: Stuck Oil Filter

@(*$&)($*&@)(@#*$&@(#$( I am going crazy!!!!!!

ive been at my oil filter for 2 hours now, i cant take it off!

ive tried sandpaper, to grip.
heating it up with a blow drier
putting screw driver through to turn

but they all failed badly, and there is ripped skin the size of a nickel on the palm of my hand from trying so hard.

please help me, i cant drive the car... :cry:

^^^ I bought one of those, best investment ever, its adjustable so you can crush the living shit out of it if need be.

I was about to reccomend the screwdriver trick, but even if it would have worked its SO bloody messy!!
 
lol i already tried the screwdriver trick and i had a fun time cleaning oil off my exhaust pipe, im gonna buy the wrench, ill keep u guys posted, thx for eveyones advice. just gotta wait for dad to come back to take his car lol

This is the best. The only tool I use. Get one at Wal-Mart for like 5-8$.

NOTE: Hand-tight your filters. Never overturn. Tighten only if oil drips.. And put oil on the gasket of the filter! :bigup:

i completely agree with everything usually a 1\4 turn after snug there is no need to tighten the shit out of it

Sick idea , dumb to think that no one tought of that , anyway for yo filter a good tool like the one upper in the post could do the job , but why did you tighten your filter that much ?
I usually use this to tighten it/untighten it , i go with feeling , and always dip my finger in oil to put on the rubber o-ring , AND ALWAYS CHECK IF THE O-RING STAYED ON THE ENGINE OR THE FILTER (happens all the time on dodge caravans , since my parents have 3 of them i get to do the oil changes :laugh:) :

your not supposed to use a tool to put it on, there s no point, usually when you put a bit of oil on the o ring it shouldnt seize

i know , but i have fancy fingers and i always hurt my hand when i get it into tight holes , i use the tool cuz i don't like hurting myself and i wanna keep my hands in good shape for the girls :cool:
Anyway i don't trust your "hand torquing" i have small hands and some people have huge one and can put a lot more torque on a filter then i will ever be able to
 
it came off with the wrench freakerz has in his post. thx alot guys.

i hand tightened 1 turn after contact, and yes i did oil the gasket. i dunno wat went wrong.

Ya d'autres outils meilleurs que ca. Bien que ces pinces la son ce qui fait la job le mieux possible 99% du temps, des fois yen as qui sont EXTRA super-duper tight. Genre que ca fait 10 ans que le filtre yé la pis yé BEN pogné. La ya 2 choses qui marchent pis que si ca marche pas ben sort les torches.

1-Vise grips pour filtres a huile, c'est pas pire.

2 Ce qui m'as jamais faillit, ce qui marche a tout coups, l'imbattable : Des BIG "pinces a pompe à eau" ou plutot "Pinces a prises multiples". T'en prends une paire assez grosse pour driver ton filtre, pis tu écrase le filtre ben comme il faut, après ca, tu tournes *byewhore* . Ca m'es arrivé 2-3 fois depuis que je fait des changements d'huile d'avoir recours a ca, c'est ce que j'ai vu de mieux. C'est gros mais ca passe assez bien dans des endroits assez serrés.

Pis 200sxboy, fait un homme de toi pis serres tes crisses de filtre avec tes mains!!! Tu serre tant que tu sents pas que sa "barre". Tu le sent quand ton seal yé tight a fond pis que le filtre veut pu tourner. Pratiques!!! :bigup:

the fact that i dont like , is when i hurt a finger and bleed , when you put it inside the girl , if the wound opens you might think she's in her week and backoff and loses a chance to get some sex *td*

They are awesome

And Honda filters are in a great place I know your car has lots of room to get the pliers in.

It could be worse you could own a 2.2l Sunfire ATX with A/C
 
im rocking the same thing as 200sxboy

if you go buy one make sure in advance it will fit your filter, there are generally two sizes (in the one that he has)! with that thing i dont see how you can not have enough leverage to take it off...
