Due to the lack of interesting threads Im starting one. Be honest even if its to pick up broads dont be shy. I got my bike because a lot of people that I knew got bikes .Its my friends 99 r6 that really got me hooked up. I realised then that the cars were too much money to be reliable and fast.
 
I always use to have dirts bike when I was a kid . Then I had to sell them so I stopped on two wheels for a while . Then my brother got a roadbike for a while and I never really wanted one for some reason :dunno: Then one morning I got up and said...I WANT A BIKE !!! Got one and I've been happy ever since :bigup:

I started to like cars when I was around 16-17 yrs old (working as a valet) and became interested in bikes slowly but surely. I wanted one for a while, but couldn't afford it. I wanted to get my liscence, but waited LONG! Finally my buddy took the first step and after riding his bike, I signed up! That was 2 years ago and the rest is history!

I just love motors and tinkering with shit. I like the bike more than the car for this. Plus the bike is more "pure". It has a purpose and it's not to get groceries...

Je fais de la moto depuis que j'ai 2ans(sidecar avec mes parents!
On as tjs eu une moto a la maison. et mon per en fait de puis qu'il a 18ans
c'était simplement une évolution naturelle. a 16ans j'ai eu mon temporaire (2 été) et a 18ans mon permis et mon premier bike!
Fait 5 ans cette année!
c'était surement pas a cause de mes chums: aucun en as un et il ont presque tous peur de sa(ca marche trop pour eux sa doit :p :rolleye)
 
Funny thing, I got my bike liscence 10 years ago.

I was going out with this girl who was a real " Plote a tire" so I took the course to get a liscense & to buy a bike so we could go riding.
The relationship ended, got my liscense two weeks later.

Pro's of this : I did not get riped off for getting it & no probation crap & only cost me 230$ for the course.

Con's : Was unable to afford a bike at that time by myself.

Bought my first bike this year in May a GS500E more for transportaion reasons easy to park around McGill...Great city bike...the bike is so flickable!!

So I liked biking so mutch I wanted something sportier & bought a TL1000s, this weekend, love twins & the sound generated by them enough sport for me.

I will not plate the "Tillis" this year but I will keep bought bikes the GS500e is too worry free & practical. The "Tillis" will be the weekend ride

Quand j avais ma type-R 2-3 de mes chums avait des sportbike, ca m interessait mais pas assez pour n avoir un, mais une fois mon chum kevin ma passe son gixxer et chu alle faire 3-4 tours de bloc pis j ai eu la piqure, un mois plus tard je vendais ma R et j achetais un R6 dans meme semaine...tu te rend compte que un bike a 7000 ( ce sur que y coute cher en assurance pis en plaques pis en tires... ) declasse un char de 100 000 $...et aussi que sur un bike ce bin plus le pilote quifait la difference qu en char
 
Pour le feeling de conduite. J'ai toujours voulu faire de la moto, mais j'ai seulement faite le move cette année, faut dire que ma blonde s'est incrite à ses cours avant moi, ca m'a motivé un peu ;)
 
I started riding back in my country around 13 years old , however you can not compare the bikes here and there , the ones we had... well lets just say they werent very advanced technology wise..

after some period of time I had to stop riding because i wanted a faster bike every year , and in my country a person who bikes is known as a someone who will kill himself while riding. so because of that idea people had, my parents made me stop riding:(

Later on when came back to canada , I was driving in my M3 and would of NEVER suspected that a bike would be faster than a car especially an M3... So I decided to race him , I remember it was an R6... they guy on the bike RIPPED me and i only had the smell of his rubber in my face but couldnt see him anymore... since that moment i had this little adrenaline rush in me , I could sill remember it like it was yesterday , so within that week I went to buy a bike (R6) ... rode for many months until got caught without license several times , bike got impounded and it became costy riding without license ... so i decided to go do my license... and here I am :D

it is my second bike in canada and my 6th bike on total
 
Bought a bike now because I now take more time for me instead of work work work and also, when I was 16, it was, "pedal to the metal", stupid young kind I was... First car was a Mercury Tracer, 175km with the wind in my face, 185km with the wind behind... A few years later, the first Eagle Talon TSi AWD 1990 came out, it was now 225-230km, always "pedal to the metal"... Switched for another Eagle Talon TSi AWD in 1994 and another one in 1997 then I had a accident in racing formula 2000 wich calmed me down "a bit" and when I had my 320hp SVT Cobra, I began to respect more the car I was driving so it was when I had my Z06 so, having a bike was a no no in my head until a few years ago (4-5 years) but my girlfriend was totally against it... We broke up last september so I took my lessons and got a bike :) ... and I respect the "machine" ... End of story! :)
 
I kept my self away from bikes for a very long time, did the car thing for years and one day I happen to try a friends bike and it was all over from there !!


Now I want out before I kill my self but I need my fix :p
 
Interesting stories in here I had to retain myself from getting a bike at 18 I wanted a 600f4i good thing I didnt get the bike back then
 
Jai eu monpremier bike a lage de 11ans.. rouler avec une moto jtrouvais sa malade! jai eu un cross, un scooter pis ensuitepu rien

jusqua 23 ansou jai eu du cash de lousse jpensias machete run semiroute semi trail,pis chu tomber assis surun gixxer...
jai pu lacher les bike depuis

des que sa deux roue jembarque dessu pis jmamuse, jsuis pas barer sur les style ou sur les marques, tant quon me laisse lessayer!

c sa qui arrive quand ta coemncer a pédaler a lage de 3 ans :rolleyes:
 
ive been riding dirtbikes for a while, and i was sure at 16 I,d buy a bike, but insurance companies killed that dream, anyways, i bought my r1 last year, and i love it to death, but wow does it ever get me into trouble

Riding 2 ways is a lifestyle in a sense, riding 4 is just transportation.
