Question about the closed circuit. The 1st time i was on a bike was last weekend practicing for the closed circuit exam. Riding the bike itself is easy I find but what I have trouble with is some of the exercises. It’s taking me some time to get them right and it’s getting real frustrating since some people get the hang of it right away. The circle exercise is the toughest IMO. Emergency Braking is fine, we haven’t done counter steering yet, hook turn I was having trouble with at first then got it…I’m just getting real frustrated because my exam is coming up soon and I just don’t feel ready even though I still have 9 hours left to practice to learn. Have any of you had similar difficulties when you first started? I just have no room to fail this exam. I fell that if i did the road test first i would have no problems but the closed circuit just gets me because it seems like i dont have full control of the bloody bike.

To do the circle, just remember to hold gently the rear brake and to turn your head to look where you are going, not just in front of you.

I`m also doing my practical right now at the school and we just went through the circle exercise last Sunday in the rain.

Like chaosExpanding said, don`t just look in front of you...look where you want to go. What my instructor told me was to look at a quarter of the circle at a time and always keep your head up. Never look down at the lines or else you`ll definately go outside of the lines. I think the most important thing besides looking where you want to go is to keep a constant speed.

Hope this helps

For the circle, depending on the bike, try to do it in 2nd speed (2e vitesse), you may feel more stable. And as ChaosXpanding said, look ahead in the circle.

It should go well *tu*

Thats exactly the trick. You have to look far ahead and like magic you remain stable.

woohoo for the practical students!!!
cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and :thefinger to those ricers, no more getting beat by hondas lol

for the circle, don't play with the throttle.........keep constant stable speed if possible.........if u go to fast..........tap REAR brakes only, but don't ease up on the throttle as u are doing this......if u touch the front brakes........u going down.......and don't look in front of u.........look ahead

At Henri-B during the closed circuit, can i go earlier and watch the people before me practice or is it closed off? When we do our exams do we do them alone or do we have 20 other riders watching us or do we get the whole circuit to ourselves?
