make a mould, or styrafoam addition to your skirt.

protect it.

place fiberglass over it, and apply resin.

done.

now, it will look like crap, but continue doing it until it looks less like crap :)

and that's called experiance :p

tennis160, u've gimming so ideas :), very creative. I actually did last year a very nice pair of front splitters, very satisfy with the result and learned a lot. Why did u choose wood instead of stirofoam ? i mean, i would be much easier to work with.

I used wood because the chemicals in the resin would melt / disform my original shape, with the plywood the shape stayes the same so I can make multiple lips for friends and myself if I damage it

i c ... does resin still like crazy on wood ?? i was thinking of reworking my project.

you cover the wood with aluminium foil then with masking tape makes it a breeze to take off

Also Pics have been updated

True. Nice work, man i thought i did everything by the book, u sure have some awsome ideas. Now the real work begin: sanding and getting rid of the imperfections lol..... Will u paint it professionally or yourself ?

PS: instead of gel coating, i remember spraying a black primer.

Tennis, is gel coating thick ? i want to try it for small dents on my car. Does it take long to cure vs regular potting ?

gel coats are a pain in the ass to work with and Personaly I would only use it on a "full" piece Vs spots, as for cureing time it all depends on the amount of catalyst used in the mixture
