The engine has not started in a more than a year. Out of the usual fluids changes what else could be done? I was thinking injector cleaner, that sealfoam thingy, something to clean carbon deposite?

oil and filter
cap & rotor
spark plugs

the usual... *tu*

make sure to prime your oil pump BEFORE starting the engine and you should be fine

change your oil first. when your spark plugs are out of the head, unplug all the injectors. turn your engine with the starter a couple of times (not more than 5-10 seconds at a time) and let your starter cool for a few seconds between the cranks. this will prime your oil pump and make sure your engine will be well lubricated befopre first start.

EDIT: I hope you had fuel stabiliser in the tank. cus fuel doesn't like to just sit there for a long time, it turns in to varnish... you might want to drain the tank if the fuel is old.

Thanks for the info. Totally forgot about the gas filter. Since the gas line will be changed, the tank will be emptied.

Cap and rotor ... hum, I have yet to see the state of the engine, one thing is for sure, an engine wash is needed ...

Plugs will be needed, I was thinking about replacing the wiring for the plug, car is a '88 and to my knowledge it has not been changed.

the injector cleaner is a MUST, and a good, professionnal cleaning (with the pressurised bottle) should be performed. Sticky injectors really eat up engine performance and fuel economy. I'd also flush the whole cooling system and replace it with brand new stuff, it's not a bad thing to do. If the engine overheats or stays cold, the thermostat might need to be replaced, wich is not costly on most cars. you can even do it while flushing the coolant.

The engine is still in the car btw. Of course I would like to get out of the car, clean it from a to z, new seal and gasket ... but I'll do the most I can.

Anyhthing else?

Definitely Coolant Flush if it's been sitting there for a year. Everyone else pretty much mentioned everything but to recap.
Oil Change/Filter, Rad flush (Check hoses/cap at the same time), Spark plugs/wires, new cap and rotor (I would go new distributor if you could afford it). Drop the tank and change the gas.

avec le temps si sa catcher l'humidité je crois

Very simple, the car is getting SS brakes lines. Keep in mind that the car has not been on the road for almost 2 years, I'll be happy if the engine starts after all that time.
