I'm great with anything mechanical but electronical, i'm useless *banghead*

MY 91 laser RS (turbo) has a wierd problem.. apperantly the altenator hasnt been recharging the battery proporly.. except whenever i take her out for short little bursts of adrenaline, things keep on going wierd.

Last week the power windows stopped working completely, one is left up, one wont go back up. so i figured it was a fuse and i'd get around to it eventually. well, now the interior lights dont work anymore, the brake lights dont come on at all, pressed or not. basically the only electrical function left is the front lights.

Does anyone know anything about this? I doubt its the ECU or wiring harness.. of logical answers, none seem to make sense of this.

thanks for your help
Jason

Do you have any car starter or alarm in you'r car? if yes just unplug the main harness of your module? give me some news!!!

actually, in fact i think it does.
I bought the car as is, and i think i saw an alarm horn under the hood
i've used it maybe 10 times going up and down a 2 km strech, until i get the rad and windshield fixed

good idea though!
I'll keep ya posted.

If the car starts on a ¼ turn, the alternator must be working good, because your battery would be dead. Like others said, check for anything non-stock on the wiring. Many guys intalling alarms/remote starters do a good job f***ing up the wiring.
