My headlights are scratched and dirty and I was told that i could wet sand them in order to restore the outisde cover of the light.
My question is what grade of sand paper is needed and how can this be done.
A step by step process would be appreciated but general info on what is needed and how to do it it also welcome

Thanks

Before trying to wetsand them, try to polish them with a rubbing compound. I did mine with Eagle One aluminium wheel polishing compound (8$ at Canadian Tire) and I did my brother's one with Turtle Wax rubbing compound (the green box ... 6$ at Canadian Tire). The Eagle One works better but both are doing a great job. All you have to do is put a layer of compound on your headlights, rub them like if you were cleaning them with a clean towel and whipe the exceeding compound after it.

Tada, your headlights should be like new.

yea, ive used wheel mag polish on my headlights and it really cleans them up, but theres always some more serious stuff that cant be fixed without going to wetsanding, i too would like to know the process
