tranny swap ???? need ans.

hey guys my budy is having problems on his 92civic si tranny "grinding chatering bearing noise" n e ways this winter we want to swap it n e ideas on what tranny insted of his would bolt on with no major problems and that would respond better gearwise let me know guys
 
of course you need a D-serie hydraulic tranny (92&+); SI (D16) will give you more acceleration than DX (D15) but if you plan to make long highway trips go for the D15! my buddy has one and he reachs 60 kph in 1st, 120 2nd, 170 3rd and no idea for the 4th and 5th!! lol
