ive researched a rear disc conversion for my ek hatch for a long time now and ive goten so many different variations of answers and how to's that im officially confused about some of the details.
Ive purchased a 94-01 integra rear disc conversion assembly.
My front discs are stock civic ones and there going to stay that way.
Im going to uprade to aftermarket blank rotors and pads after winter.
My scenario: I looking to buy SS brake lines (russell or goodridge) for my install. I want to swap to a 1" MC and Brake booster as well as a 4040 prop valve.
My problems:
-People tell me i dont need to swap my prop valve, some say that i do cuz my tires are going to lock up, and that i wont have any power to my rear brakes (only 20% or so?).
-The master cylinder and prop valve connections from the integra wont match my civic front lines . i know that some bending, flaring and so on might fix that problem. but is there an easier way, like getting a front from a teg?
But what i want to know is what SS lines do i get? Integra ones or civic ones? What MC and prop valve do i get?
I also phoned the dealer for some prices on parts and i asked for a new e-brake cable, he told me there were two? one for each side? one was 90 bux and the other 50 or so? Do i have to get both? and from which car?
Please i want to do this before winter starts and im really confused on what to get, everyone is giving me diff answers.
thanks a million,
PAT
ps im still researching this so dont think im just waiting for answers.
