and thought of doing an A4 B6 front end conversion.
I have a friend who's done a few conversions with mixed up cars and we were sitting down with a hookah burning talking about sexy cars. I mentioned "wouldn't it be sick if I had A4 HIDs? I'm not crazy about Jetta OEM HIDs.." and he's like "yeah, but a full front end conversion would look pretty sweet". My eyes lit up, I knew he was offering some help! He's going to scout out some parts at his friends junkyard. I'm just trying to do something different and I think it would work aesthetically. I'm posting here because I'd like some of your opinions.
Before anything, yes I know how much work is ahead of me. My friend wants to do it free of charge as long as I help out as much as I can, pay for supplies and give him full credit.
It's going to be a fun project, anyone else excited?

oooooohhhhhhhhh yeah!
I definitely excited now, i wanna see! i wanna see! i wanna see! i wanna see! i wanna see! i wanna see! i wanna see! i wanna see! i wanna see! i wanna see! i wanna see! i wanna see! i wanna see! i wanna see! i wanna see! i wanna see!
w00t! w00t!

this is a nice project.. kind of 1.6L acura front end conversion to a civic.. but with much class

You sound like me when I was 16, thinking of crazy stuff for my car after smoking a joint, without thinking of the full extent of work required, I don't think your friend knows what he's getting into either. Think about it a little, the weeks or months of work involved, the possibility of your friend getting sick of working on your car for free, what happens then? I don't even think it's going to look good, the A4 front looks good on the A4, it won't flow with the lines of a Jetta.

Come back when the weed wears off, better yet come back in a few weeks and tell me how the project is going.

I'm not bashing you, just bringing up some arguments, if you decide to go ahead and do it, I wish you the best of luck.

I agree with Dubweiser... It's too much pain in the ass and probably not worth all the hustle.

It may turn out nice OR rice...

le devant d'une a4 c'est arrondi non?? et la jetta est carré du cul... donc sa va ressemblé ( pas en faite de style mais bien de forme) a la jett mk3 avec le devant de civic que j'ai posté la semaine passé... rond a carré... kinda weird

i dont think thats possible...i mean the A4 is wider than the Jetta...they are on a totaly different chassis...it's probably possible with a passat but not a jetta....and if anyone thinks the A4 is based on the jetta u must be mentaly retarted...like seriously retarted..try a tt front end conversion..since the tt is on the same platform as the jetta/golf/beetle..still might not work

... so as Elvis Gratton :p

cest un gros project qui va demander du temps et de l'argent .... je crois que tu es mieux de rester stock pour le bien-etre de ta personne ( trop de stress )

Its funny how some of the ideas dont make any sense outside the circle!

You guys have to relax a bit, lol.
No it wasn't an idea I had when I was smoking a joint, errr. It's, in my opinion, a great idea. I do have to photoshop it and get a quote on most of the parts, but fitting it won't be much of the problem. Like I've said, my friend's done many conversions like this, prelude's on integra's and whatever. Obviously it's not the same thing but I think it'll come out nicely.
Photoshop's coming soon.

A quick photochop while I was at work. It's a horrible version of it just because I didn't have 20 pics of any given car so I tried to warp them together, ha!
wtf.jpg

I'm no artist.
I kinda like it. The lights are just a little more stretched out, the body seems to flow... I unno, what's your opinions?
And if there are good photochopers out there who can do a silver on silver chop I'd appreciate it!
Thanks!

PS those are NOT the wheels that will be on the Jetta! Those are the wheels the dealer gave me, I decided to tough them out until winter. I'm thinking A8s.

No one has anything to say about it? I know it's not the best pchop but whatever. People on the fixx seem to think it's a good idea, although the shitload of work it's going to take (I already know that!).
Some input would be helpful!
Jon

What was that for :dunno:. If there's something you don't like about the idea I'd rather you tell me what it is rather then say "gayness". *sigh* gotta love the vw crowd *banghead*
