2006 Audi A3 3.2L Quattro S-Line

Well, Audi are finally bringing the A3 with the 3.2L engine. The 2006 A3 3.2 quattro S-line will be available at a base price of $44,990 in Canada. That is very expensive for such a car.

Maybe VRSixer can be the first one...

You think so? I think this is a great value.

$45k for a 250hp, 6-speed DSG, AWD premium car is pretty reasonable.

It's mechanically identical but WAY more useful than the TT 3.2 DSG which sells for $65K+

if I was in the market, I would be all over this

Isnt the S-line an option? Last thing i remembered when i was in the market for this car, was that there would be the 3.2/2.0T A3, and both the 2.0t and 3.2 would have an S-Line option. The S-line option is basically a couple of badges and more asthetic changes.

The new A3 3.2 quattro S-line will come with the 3.2L V6 engine producing 250 hp at 6300 rpm and 236 ft.-lbs. of torque from 2800-3200 rpm. A 6-speed Direct-Shift Gearbox transmission is standard, as is the quattro all-wheel drive. Numbers: from 0-60 mph in 5.9 seconds, and through the quarter-mile in 14.4 seconds.

Standard sport suspension and 17-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels with 225/45 all-season tires. Optional 18-inch 20-spoke alloy wheels with 225/40 performance tires are available.

The front bumper will feature larger air intakes with a new lip spoiler. The rear bumper has been restyled to feature a sporty and more pronounced lower valence. Other standard features include fog lights, roof spoiler, S-line badging, alloy air vents and door inlays, leather clad sport seats with special stitching and a power adjustable driver’s seat, 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel with alloy shift paddles, Bose Symphony audio system with an in-dash 6-disc CD changer.

As for a 2.0T with quattro, no announcements.

This is definitely worth 45K, I just hope we can get the 2-door version as well! :bigup:

I think you're missing the point.

The A3 3.2 kills any stock A4 and performs pretty close to an S4 for $25,000 less. So, unlike the A4 you don't need to void your warranty with chips and other mods if you want something reasonably fast.

The only thing that worries me is that the AWD system is Haldex instead of Torsen. But supposedly it's the reinforced system used on the R32 and TT3.2 so it should be good

nowhere near the s4 in terms of performance.

Im saying that at one point you could get the 3.2 without the s-line package. Unless Audi changed this...........
