Steelies or fast tensions for tension.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I hate the though of rolling with fast wheel, but would you guys take fast tension or steelies.

I am getting them at the same price as brand new steelies.

It saves me a few pounds on each corner equating to better gas. But I dont know about the "look"

For winter? Go with steelies, the lighter weight will hardly affect your gas for one thing and steelies will take more abuse with crappy winter conditions.

well the fast's will save me about 100 pounds of sprung weight. debating though. and I can get a good resell on them. But at the end of the day it's still "fast".

buy used steelies and get a fawking suspension after tension season is over.

I got 1 pair of bilstein shocks and 1 pair of koni shocks and 1 pair h and r springs sitting in my house collecting dust, can't figure out which to install yet. The poll is pretty close.

My friend came over and e put on the fast wheel about 5 mins ago, they look, ok the center cap is really cheap, and I need to get tuner lugs. I don't know anymore, someone sell me cheap winter tires.

its a no brainer...get the fast wheels, u will be able to sell them after winter for prolly way more than what u paid if ur gettin em that cheap! and they dont look bad at all, i mean so what theyre fast they sure do look better than steelies...and u can get some diffrent center caps if its the fast that bothers u

Meh. go with steelies. with the Shitty road conditions the Fast's will look like garbage. I just put my steelies on a few days ago and i already hit a curb:eek: . now my rear-passenger wheel is ****ed and i'm fawking mad as it is so just imagine how mad you/I would be if the mags were in the can aswell.

if you pay the same price ,why put steelie?

its just logical...
I dont see any inconvenient:dunno:
same price, better look, lightweight, better value for resale
steelie or mag, your susp and brake will be dirty and snowy anyway

mon opinions.

This is one thing you shouldn't CHEAP out on.

I am buying cheap winter tires (cheap pricewise not quality wise)...just found them, brand new hakkas wr for 300$ :) That's cheap.

I guess I'll go with the fast, I need to dish out some coin for the damm bolts, oem don't fit. aw well.

Thanks guys for your inputs. And there is no reason to hit a curb or anything in winter, it's all about 10 inches behind the wheel. You can drive on bald summer tires, it's all about how you drive. Having good winter tires helps bigtime though.

and about the ice on urs mags, I had like 10 spoke bbs for winter mags, it would shake like a civic on the highway. :(
