Here's my 1990 Coupe Quattro, needed an engine upgrade... perfect winter car. Here's a pic of when I was just trial fitting the engine in the car. Doesn't fit, but will make it fit. FUN! Recognize the engine?

JA is correct, it's a 2.7t. Frankenstein, no the motor doesn't bolt in to these cars. Firstly, the mounts are way off, so I had to fabricate new ones, secondly, the turbos won't fit in the stock locations, and there isn;t much room left to place them, third, the master cylinder was in thew way of the head, etc...
BUT, it will be worth it, and for me, the ultimate winter car.

nice work Mike (as always), but your car doesn't need more power

it needs a driver who doesn't need to take a nap while everyone else is tearing up the track!
