Passat electric problems

my lights are driving me crazy *frustrate
everytime i turn on the car my lights make that "ding ding" for like a minute and when i turn on the night lights even whorst... "toooooooo" for another minute.
problem number two
when i open the door, the light won't come on in the car, nore the ones in the back and i have tried them at all positions.

would anyone have an idea what could cause that or where to get it fixed?

I can't really help you in terms of a solution, but I can tell you that both your problems have the same answer. Your Door switch wiring is screwy. The door chime dings because it thinks your doors are open.

Can you turn on your interier light manually? Have you done any electrical work on the car lately? Car starter, alarm, under the dash work?

no i haven't done any work on the car, i just got it.

what you said makes sense actualy because the light at the bottom of the door stays on too. i'll try to get that checked.
