its like this all around europe.. not crazy like autobahn... but when i was i europe.. i did like 2300km with my father.. we were in a punto 1.9 Multi Jet Diesel... lol top speed 169km\h... and we were slow as my grand-ma.. always in the right lane.. bimmers and benz passing at like 210 in the left lane..(during 2300km.. i didnt saw one guy arrested by LA POLIZIA) no need to say.. it was cool.. also, on the rain.. everyone goes at 150-160 average.. not the trucks etc.. but u understand.. CRAZY SHIT ..

and oh..

NO POTHOLES!

Was on Vacation this summer and passed through on the Autobahn. I was in the right lane doing 200km/h in a Peugeot 407 Turbodiesel and got blown away by something yellow...it was going so fast I could see what kind of car it was.

In 2003 I did Munich, Germany - Thessaloniki, Greece and back in a 92 Mercedes E320 that I purchased in Germany. It had a weird 5 speed manual tranny, 1st was were 2nd gear is in north american cars, 2nd was were 3rd usually is, and so forth. It had 220hp, 41 000KM, mint condition, I had so much fun blasting down the autobahn at 240-250kmh in that thing...

Here's me scrubbing off autobahn dust:D

there was insane rain this summer, going by at 140, saw 4 trucks in the ditches...

once the rain stopped and the roads cleared up, the turbo kicks in and cruising at 180km/h. No more, I'm only 18... lack experience for >200km/h

I've been on the autobahn many times, my familly is in bavaria (Munich, Landshut and Rothenburg). Nicest highways ever!

My uncle has a 190e lowered on H&R and Bilstein, sick sick.

Need to go back, it's been a while now :(

I don't think my '92 Jetta would be up to it. Although other automobiles definetly come to mind. My old boss had a picture in his office of his speedo on the autobahn, 255 km/h BMW 540.

Your jetta would probly be more up to it than most Jap compact cars (slowrolla, civic, sentra...)

At 120 km/h I am at 3750 rpm. Although that isn't much higher than an MK4 2.o :thumbsdow
