so ive 'stored' my car and ill be building it this season. ill be stripping the car down till its butt naked- im assuming that would be the best time to coat the whole car (any ideas on a color?)...ill be building a 16v motor thats for sure, and this project is longterm BECAUSE my bigger plans will be covered in the next few years. SO i thought i could update u guys as i go along, pics of course are necessary and boring without. so basically, give me ur ideas on a color for my scirocco and i was looking at building a 2.0l 16v with forced induction...tips,comments accepted- NO TRASH talking PLEASE- this thread is for you all to see a project in the making from ur house, in front of ur computer*tu*

tearing the car down should begin next week:D i also have some before pics coming soon

Good luck with the project !
I never thought such an old car could be so fun to drive...:D
I`m driving mine in winter and will see if it`s worth rebuilding in spring.

I would keep the original colour. Look wise I prefer roccos that are fairly close to OEM but clean. My Rocco was usually noticed most because it was so OEM, except for BBS RAs.

Sweet to hear Shant.

I agree with roccodan color wise, try to keep it oem color codes.

This coud give you an idea of wat is achevable.

Just get your head redone, bigger valves, real sick pair of cams, pistons, rods,CONVERT TO FUEL RAIL,quick flow style intake manifold etc.etc.

Why not also focus on brakes and such,a fast car is no fun,wen it wont hold the road well, nor stop.

Have fun and get loads of pics.

Better brakes! Very good idea. Get a G60 kit for the front and rear disks for the back if you don't already have it. My Rocco had crappy brakes. :(

thanx for all the comments guys! i love driving the rocco, just like those of you who own one or have driven one, its a true VW experience, id like to take it further and explore its full potential!! :D i have 4 discs setup already, so for now, itll be good enough...but some coilovers are a necessity...as for the color, im looking for anything nice, even if its not oem. thanx for the link trialsin:bigup:

oh and as for the color, alpine or candy white.

Ile maurice blue is really nice not too flashy dont know what its called in english got it off audi france. ocean blue pearl effect is nice too(A4). the new S4 blue is called sprint blue pearl effect they got rid of nagaro blue this one is a bit less flashy i think.

Basically if its repainted i think it should be blue

I find the rocco you have to keep it nice and simple color wise, can't go flashy.

I too second alpine and pearl white, its just way to nice on a rocco.
