highly recomended...they are very knowledgeable and know what they are doing! i just got my pirelli winters installed and oil change, they use motul synthetic, i was amazed to see my car underneath, these cars are so well built! not a single spec of rust or damage, he said the car was flawless! makes me feel good about my car!

haha he likes to overcharge.
Everytime my friends go there their pockets get burned. Of course there is no rust your car is 2002, what do you expect rust.

I have been going to see Franco and Mike for over 10 years and I've always had great service and good prices.. guess he doesn't like you guys!

Likewise, he does an amazing job. You'll never return for the same problem cause he fixes it right the first time. I've gone there with all my dubs.

me my next oil change and tune up will be at vag, maybe even a swap:D but seriously i went there all summer because everytime i brought my car in he would forget to put some other things together, hes a good guy but his prices are waaaaayyyyyyy to steep. $40 for valve gasket on 8v, $60 worth of synthetic oil and $75 for the labor for the valve cover gasket like wtf, and especially my tune up, i came in there thinking to spend $250, ended spending $500, wtv overall if his parts weren't go high i would go there no question. you can call him up and he would know you right away if you mention your car to him...

Ive never baught enything from him thow ( so i can't really judge).

But a frend braught his car there and ended up coasting him 500 bux for a ecu ( well from wat im told ).

Wen i went by oen day he saw my vw shirt and he was real nice guy with me,and i went into his bay and we chated while he was working.Hes got a sick b5 ( i think its his ).

Enyhow from wat im told its expensive.Power steering pump gave me a good quote on it thow so.

To the guy complaining about leigbhour fees.

I dont want to be a bitch, but people need to eat and feed there familly also.If your not happy with prices the first time go else were,or how about you pick up a ****ing wrench and learn something bout cars.

p.s vag is the shit thow.

the white b5 is his and mike has an audi a4, i even asked him to do a swap for him and he said no, n then he discoraged me to do a swap and not to do anything to my 8v, he told me to turbocharger a 1.8 8v, like wtf

^ LOL!.

You have no idea how meny people told me "swaps are crap".

Dude, the guy is not specialized in swaps, nor custom/tuning of vw's.Hes a vw mechanic who tuchs stock stuff,or else hense swaps,he woud be lost at see.Go to midas with a vr6,they wont tuch it.

Swaps are fine, just have to go to the right places, like vag.The work ive herd/somewhat seen thanks to the net on there swaps, are A+.

Dont turbo your 8v,big waist of moula man.

lol, sure buddy, who told you swaps are crappy, if a swap is done the way it should be done, you wont even know the difference. actually canadian tire touches all kinds of vw engines. the place i would go to is either vag or vw specialist near flying j

and about ur comment about me complaining about the prices, u can't jus be like "sorry this cost to much, put back the old parts, there for i give comments" and plus i do pick up a ****ing wrench, i do all my work except trani and engine internals soooo wtv man u got to get ur facts straight

Dude im with you on the swaps.lol.

Swaps are super fine man.

Well who doesn't know hwo to take a ****ing bolt off to dump his oil.Amoin your car is damn low and you cant jack it,thats understandtable, then againjust drive it on some bricks then jack it.

Dont feal insulted man.ITs just the ****ing internet.

LOL, Mike would never tell you to turbo a 1.8 8v... he is into tuning and holds his own when it comes to aftermarket parts and knowledge... Like myself, he really isn't fond of swaps though, especially if it's something you could have bought off the dealer.

Personally, I don't mind paying a little bit more if the job is done right. Obviously the price of his oil change is more expensive than mister lube, but I don't see mister lube checking my wheel bearings, fixing my rattling heatshields, and coating my bolts with grease while the oil drains. Why would you put synthetic in a 2 liter though? Those things are born to burn regular oil!

Did you see the work involved in changing the valve cover gasket?

I gota agree with phil on this one...

60$ for synthetic oil is cheap normal price... shop around most shops charge that or more.
75$ for the valve gasket is normal, I change mine on the vr6, it's not hard but just time consuming. I paid 22$ for my gasket though.

When I got quoted for other things it was $$.

my mom haves been dealing with him since she got her golf and she was always satisfied. sure he charges alot some times but in terms of quality of labor there is nothing i can say. i dont know them personally but i know when i get my dub ill be dealing with these guys for sure.

yo man its quite expensive, but seriously the jobs he does on my car are quite sloppy, like after my valve cover was changed, some hoses were not put together, wtvr guys u guyz r chill but to me its seems like when i bring in my car to his garage i get another ****in problem, everysince then i go on vwvortex n do all my work. the guy is great if u have a big job for him but honeslty they are very friendly and you can show up whenever, so this place goes both ways. but my question is does he do allignment??? i need to get a couple of stuff done and have no time, i would go to vag but too far no time to travel, my only resource would be mugul or mr muffler:p

i recommend this place considering its the only vw shop where i live.... go for it i'm going again becuz hes close to me,

Never been there eventhough i always pass by and see tons of pretty sick dubs. Every place has bad days or mistakes (to a certain extent), like you say though it's really conveniant for most of us living here in the west island.

Swaps are a big deal if you ask me. And if you want it done nicely and clean, going to a regular garage is not what i would recommend, it is not that they aren't capable or less capable, its just not what they are used to doing.

Just my .02 on the subject, but i'm not gonna go into detail cause after all i've never been to this place or dealt with the guy.
