ur so dumb talking like u know something read the part that says OVERBOOSTED meaning failure happened somewhere and the engine went to 40 psi without tuning for 40 psi, built block would have blown under that condition to.... i love it how u people talk without knowing shit

Unfortunately, I have seen exploded VW block like that quite often. And on NA engines, too. At high RPM, when something lets go, that is usually the end result.

That is quite the mess to clean up. I'm sure the dyno operator was just thrilled to see that...

he had a tial 38/40 wastegate and I think a new boost controller. obviously he didn't know how to use it and this is what happened.
 
420 whp at 4500rpm is fuggin crazy. I would love to see how much the pistons expanded when the temps went through the roof.

rofl, see thats where u dont get it,if they had shut down the engine just as they saw the boost going crazy and the car leaning out to hell. having the internals forged would have taken the conditions and could have saved his motor, in any case, if he was at anything over 25psi.. those rods would have bent anyways, so plz.. dont talk, when u have no idea what i know about this stuff, armchair mechanics ftl*fag* :squintfin
 
LOL u make me laugh.... my friend has a 640 whp vr on stock rods and arp rod bolts, one of the boys in jersey is running 7xx whp on his STOCK BLOCK 1.8t, u etuners make me laugh. u think u know everything... go to bed. if u know how to tune shit vw blocks can take the beatings..... ur probably the archair mechanic here ;)

my friend did this and they did that.. please dude just stop talking, no need to ewar on things u dont know.. if ur building a dyno queen, u build it properly and thats all i have to say... and give ur "boy" in jersey a call, and ask him how long that motor lasted before one of those "inpenetrable" rods turned into a parabola. .

ur so dumb its incredible, a built block would have blown to shit under these conditions, and the vr has been running for 2 years now without failure... only trannys blowing.... keep up ur etuning ur ganna go real far. the 1.8 lasted at 40+psi without damage..... its ok you know everything tho and im sure u built more engines then the jersey people u make fun of

see thats where im not making fun of anyone, im stating that ur telling me out of facts u read on the net or what ur "friends" tell you, and u wanna see pics of my g60 build and wanna come see the car in teh spring? im sure ull find im one hell of a armchair mechanic after u come visit the shop too.. dude get a life, and get ur facts straight:bigup:
 
yea seriously man, if you want to do a good dyno queen you go to do it the right way with no!!! short cuts, why would you be stupid enough to run 640whp on a stock block, like wtf, you are just going to burn it out, you have to lower compression, forged everything, and then we'll talk, but for now, forget about it, the block is not made to do it, will never be made to do it, good job lucaslinda*byewhore*
