question A4 1.8T

je check pour une audi 1.8T et j'aimerai savoir c'est quand qui ont passer du 150 hp au 170 hp !!

ca moi je veux modif a au moin 250 hp

pis ce quand qui ont changer leur model ! c'est le quel le best pour modif!!
 
T3 super 60 turbo... much better value/power. With good tuning you could see 250 whp, even with the quattro.

T360 Full setup ~ $4000ish including exhaust
K04 setup ~ $2500 including exhaust

Although you are never going to see more than 240 - 250 hp with a K04. T360's can get 340 hp... all flywheel hp of course.

Tu prend une audi 1.8T boboche, pis tu envoie ta tete chez TOM tk raceheads, ensuite tu prend ton ecu pis tu le chip, ligne dexhaut, complete, pis tu vas etre a 250hp FACIL, :)


La seul chause que tu veux penser ses ta tete, la tete du 1.8T son toute pareil ou presque yen a avec un genre de v-tec d<autyre sans, mais en prennant la tete AEB, quand tu la porte et polish, tu obtien pasmal plus de resultat. Par exemple une tet normal de 1.8T, port and Polish donne +/- 30WHP faite par Tom, prend une AEB tu obtien plus +/- 50WHP,

So si tu as la chance de trouver une 99 verifi que ses belle et bien une tete AEB et achete ne pose pas de question,

I highly doubt it... yes you will gain more flow efficiency by porting it, but the turbo is pushing it it. THe K03 "sport" can only push enough air to produce 240-250 hp, no matter how well the head flows.

YOu need a bigger turbo.

Entièrement d'accord avec ca mais c'est aussi vrai qu'un bloc AEB est plus "solide" parce qu'il est forgé; par contre, je crois que +50hp c'est exagérer.

Contradictory..
You CAN make 250hp with the K03s.. GIAC, CAI, N75J, DV(P or R), TB exhaust.. you'll hit your 250 with just that.. I was dynoed at 240 and I don't even have the TB.. You can add other things like IC for hot days, inlet components, Samco Hoses, etc..

You won't even need to change the T unless you'll eventually want to push more than 250...

Note: All this applies to VW's 1.8T wich come of the factory at 180hp and I beleive Audi comes out at 170hp.. anyways, with the same mods I listed up there, you'll reach your 250, I'm pretty sure..


EDIT: If you send your head to Tom on top of that, I wouldn't be surprised to see you hit 275 without changing your T..

Everything listed above + head job = cream in your pants! :p

pour tire 250hp tu garde le petit kkk, mais pour tirer plus de 300 la tu change de T, Bein du monde ne le save pas mais les chiffres qun petit k03s peux sortir sont surprenant. Le frere de mon ami, a une Jetta 4 1.8T chip GIAC, FMIC... pis il a sorti 13.9 1/4mile, Le truc des moteur 1.8T ses la CHIP nothing else, bein du monde font des chip, mais les resulat ne snt pas la, save money and get yourself a real chip

BTW, le truc des EAB ses pas quelle sont forger, tu ne veux meme pas le block tu veux juste la tete car elle flow beaucoup plus qune tete normal de 1.8T.

I am not disagreeing with you, as I stated earlier, 250 hp is possible on a KO3S, although that is pretty much maxed out for pump gas.

Although we are arguing for no reason. What kind of hp are we talking about here? crank? WHP? With quatto there there can be up to a 30% drivetrain loss.

Also you have to look at the long term, how long is KO3s going to last when it is being pushed that far out of its efficiency range?

My 2 cents is this, if I was looking to get 250 hp, I would not spend money on a TIP, KO3 chip, K03 DP. I would go for a turbo that is designed for 250hp and do it right the first time. Also something that is important to me is $/hp ratio. How much is a head porting job? ~$1k including installation, removal, for 25 hp is not money well spent.

Porting does have its benefits, but unless you are looking for 400+ hp, money is better spent elsewhere on a 20v.

I agree with you on most things, head job, and better a bigger turbo..

But the question was what do I need to do to get 250hp... The answer is Chip, N75, DV, CAI and TB exhaust and you'll be over (about 260, 265)... A lot of ppl with K03s are running this exact ''setup''.. As long as you take care of the car (warm up, cool down, oil changes, etc) you'll be ok.. and IF EVER the turbo goes, you just change it, still MUCH MUCH cheaper than going with BT right off the bat!
The mods I listed are about 3k total MAX! How much will BT run you?
 
ouin mais tant qu'a depenser !! je vai y aller avec un turbo good pour un bon 300 hp facile !!

et si je comprend bien, le best c'est une 1.8t 1999 AEB

TB exhaust = Turbo Back exhaust (la ligne complete, du down pipe jusqu'au muffler)

Oublie pas qu'avec un plus petit turbo tu spool plus rapidement.. Moi, ca tire en masse à partir de 2800rpm.. Si tu prends un Big Turbo, tu va spooler beaucoup plus haut.. J'aime mieux etre à 250hp puis avoir presque "full torque" à 2800rpm que d'avoir 260hp mais d'avoir "full torque" à 4500-5000rpm.
