Si le moteur a assez de millage, deux possibiliter
1- Valve guide are probably old and are letting oil seep through..or
2- The obvious, piston rings have been stressed (over the years)

But dont take my word for it, get it checked(compression test before you open up a can of worms.)

black smoke is running rich, not burning oil

correction: running rich = white smoke, black smoke comes from carbonisation
ouain mes ca ce peut qu'un moteur trop riche boucane noir car j'en n'ai pogne un qui avait mis des specs de type r sur un gsr et le moteur roulait vraiment trop riche, alors la boucane est vraiment noir. mais la plupart du temps de la boucane blanche c'est un gasket de tete sauter,alors du prestone qui brule

I have a friend with an sir and he burns black smoke at high revs
(shifting in v-tec) unfortunately I don't have a solution, sorry
