I haven't updated on here with any new pics of the Caddy project, with the Audi 3.6L 32v V8. I've got the rear subframe all bolted in and am currently playing around with the suspension design for the rear. The front is all done, with the Porsche 924 front suspension and steering rack mounted and operational.

Pretend that vertical aluminum bar is a race car coil over shock.

I oughta be able to fit some 15x10's with no problem in the rear:

You'll note in this last pic, that the header is upside down. I had the flanges cut off and I rewelded the headers on. I've also since cut the 3 bolt flange off and will weld on a 90' or so pipe to mount a T3/60 on each side of the engine. I intend to manage it with 034efi.

Sweet Jesus.

What are you using for a differential?

From the looks of it, he is using the Quattro transaxle (with the center diff locked, no doubt). Did the V8 Quattros have an LSD front diff? I doubt it...

As for that big lump in the middle of the bed, that will totally mess up your cargo capacity, man!!!

Good project! Keep us posted!

I'll be using a Coupe GT 2wd tranny. (The tranny in the car now, is as guessed correctly a quattro tranny, although that is there for mock up.) I probably won't have the funds for a Quaiffe, but Quaiffe does provide a differential for the CGT tranny.

As for inspection. I've got a guy that can give me a sticker.

Yeah, I know I'm losing a lot of bed space, but oh well, with a slight press of the 'go' pedal, I'll forget all about that.

That engine is litterally Two 1.8 16V GTI engines with a common crankcase.

In any case, that is how it was presented when it came out.

Niiiice! Be sure to post a vid when the beast will run!!! I wannna hear it!
