Hey Guys,

So i just got my 2'' lift kit. Ive been told its fairly easy to install, but i dont think i have the tools to do it. Any clue who can do it for me over here in the Montreal area?

The car is an 04 Jeep TJ, the suspension kit is a Procomp Stage 1, 2'' lift kit. Includes coils and springs.

I feel effy about it but do u guys know if caca tire can do it? its a straight bolt off bolt on job.

Thanks for the help.

Avoid canadien tire at all cost!

They'll find a way to screw up something.

what kit for what véhicule, would certainly help someone to offer you if he can do it or not!

oops sorry guys.

More info:

The car is a 04 Jeep TJ. The lift kit is a procomp Stage 1 lift kit, that includes coils and shocks. Im also getting 32'' tires so if u guys know someone or some shop that can help me put all this together, i would REALLY appreciate it.

Thanks! :)

It's a very good and simple kit. Your turck is a 04 so bolt won't be too rusty.

Everybody can install this so go see your favorite mecanician.

Thanks for the comments.

to be honest i dont really have one. i havent needed a mecanic because before the TJ i did most of my work at dealerships. im a little worried about waranty with the jeep so i would rather not risk it. i know u might say they will eventually notice, but i would rather not attracted any attention to myself just yet.

anyone u would recommend. im trying to find someone to do it over the weekend. any help would be great.

come on www.quebec4x4.com in the forum.

You will find a specialist in your town.

You have SDL Suspension on highway 20 ( STe-Madelaine). www.sdlsuspension.com

www.4x4laurentides.com at ste-agathe des Monts.

But I think SDL will be the best ( not too far from montreal.)

Thanks alot for the websites Wilder, i really appreciate it. im already a member on quebec4x4, i actually posted the same question. i didnt know about 4x4laurentides though, its good to know.

At this time, im trying to find something close by, i dont have alot of time during the week, so my options are either afternoons or weekends. I know some places are open on the weekend. Im trying to look at those options first, if nothing appears, ill head further north. but the installation is supposed to be super easy, im sure any garage that works on suspension can do it.

Any other ideas? thanks alot :)

Seriously, here is all you need to install it:

floor jacks, jack stands, socket set.

I put in my OME 2.5" and it wasn't hard at all, took me a while because rust, and a snapped rear upper shock mount bolt.

If you are looking for a garage, national4wd in chateguay does mechanic works as well.

p.s. get a new steering stablizer and frontend alignment while you are at it (both can be done by yourself easily)

yeah im probably gonna get the stabalizer. probably my next install.

Ive heard the install for the suspension is very easy. But i dont have the jacks. I figured instead of buying them and doing the install myself risking damaging something (i love working on the car myself, but im super picky about certain things) i would just get someone to do the suspension install and i think i can handle the rest (i hope).

Unless you drop the jeep off jackstands, I doubt you'll damage anything.

If you have a shop do it, you should make sure they do the front end alignment at the same time. Because the way steering links set up, a lift will severely change toe in, and death wobble will come get cha (and could ruin your tires if you leave it for long).

i would check out online and see if a website would tell you waht specific tools you would need. most likely basic stuff exept you might need a spring compressor which would be costly to buy i think... but i know PJF4x4 in ile perrot can install that fro you noproblem i had my 4" lift installed by them this winter on my 93 YJ

but if its not fully nesecary for you to pay big ucks for a pro install when you can do ityourself id go with that option for sure... could always find a loca guy to help you out who may havea bigger tool selection if you don't have much...

yeah thats basically what im looking for, someone reliable, who does a decent job. its not a difficult thing to do so i dont think its worth me going up north to a super specialized 4x4 shop just for that. anyone with a decent tool set and sense of good quality work would be just fine.

I found a ok pneu in lachine that has a guy whos good with jeeps, he has a lifted TJ and im sure he can probably handle it. the good thing about doing it there is i can get my suspension, tire and alignment. any idea how good the work is?
