soemone is trying to sell me his sir2000 and im also lookin into the new one i just wanted to kno what ppl think(pros and cons)

what woudl i b better off with and sh*t like that

im really confused the guy said that the new ones arent gr8 and he knows for a fact because he works at honda gabriel just wanted to kno what u ppl think

should i trust him or u think hes just sayin that cuz he wants to get ride of his ride

The new one doesn't perform as good as the 2000 one and its not as fun. IMO the 2000 SiR is a better overall car.

Well I own a '99 SiR and I can tell you right now I wouldn't trade it for a 2003.

Guess it's a matter of taste but I just find the new one very high on its small wheels, like a Toyota Echo, and the performance are ok but fairly equal if not a bit below the older model.

Depends on the price the guy asks for his 2000 too... still the tag price for the 2003 is way too high if you ask me for its performance but the interior is sweet.

What price for the 2000 SiR does he ask and is it stock?

its not stock hes askin 20500 nego
but i have hooks at honda an dcould prob get teh new one for 23-24

an dman who cares about teh heigh tan dsmall wheels this is montreal racing ill drop it and put 17s thats not a prob

I'd go for 99-00 SiR... why? Because the aftermarket performance parts market is saturated with goodies for this one already.

If I really wanted a 2002+ SiR I'd keep my dough and wait too see if Honda won't respond to GTI's and SRT4's with the new CTR.

or

Buy the 2002+ SiR, get some half decent tires/wheels/suspension goodies and save for a k24 swap from a TSX type s (dreams, dreams, dreams).

lookwise i find the older sir nicer. but the 2003 models have a much nicer interior, rally shifter and is a much more rarer car to see on the streets compared to a regular civic.

My opinion, i would get the 2000 sir in electron blue (sweet ass color)

I have an SIR 2000 and i'm totally satisfy but the SIR 2003 is really nice IF and only IF you can get bigger wheels and spoilers , Without it's not Race looking as the 2000 . The perf i can't say i didn't tried it soo .... i when i don't know i shut up .I gave you my opinion that's it !

Anyway an SIR is an SIR ! .........................

The high reving B16A2 is much more fun to drive compared to the anemic K20A3. As far as whose faster, its pretty even IMO. However I will tell you that the older generation of SiRs do FEEL faster.

The newer K-series engines require a considerable amount of break-in time before they really start to take shape. As far as aesthetics go, thats completely up to you, but if I had to choose between the two, the 99-00 SiR is a better car IMO.

BTW, that $20,500.00 price tag is rediculous. Depending on how many KMs are on the car, don't pay more then 18-18,5.

thank u le mécano
finnaly soemoen gives me somethin to work with
an di dont hacve to worry about teh other guys problems

Well if u are willing to pay 20,500$ for a 2000 SiR, i'd say save a little more for a 2003 cuz like mecano said, its a brand new car. Its all up to you man.

yes sir man i just both a new car too but it's an lx 2003 but ok for me man eventually i'll do some modification in it good luck with your choice man:bigup:

I got my 99 SIR and I wouldnt trade it for the world, it has such a racers feel to it, its like they say.... its a "race on Sunday, drive to work on Monday" car!!!

I.M.O. I would choose a 99-00 SiR. If on the other hand you want a NEW car then go for the 2003 SiR.

IMO I would go wit the 99 2000 sir a lot more aftermaket parts for it out there + the B series engines has been tested and they last just my 2 cents...!!!! BUT you don't have to take my word for it
ANYWAY GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR CHOICE
THERE BOTH NICE CARS>> IN THE END IT"S ALL UP TO YOU TO DECIDE WHICH ONE YOU WANT TO DRIVE EVERY DAY
