How much is it supposed to cost to

change a brake pressure-regulating valve in the rear of a Golf MK3 with drums?

I got a quote from my shop saying it'll be something like 3-4 hours plus possible line changes. Could anyone confirm this?

3 or 4 hours... if every last bolt is rusted and breaks, but as for the line changes........ i hope they heat them up before trying to take them off.

worD. broken bolts and nuts can be a pain in the ass and make a simple job hell!

I had mine changed in 2, and my mechanic had some problems... one of the bolts wouldn't budge... as long as he's careful and doesn't butcher it, he shouldn't break anything, but it will take a little more time. Just in case, get 2 new bolts from the dealer and replace them even if they don't break. It will cost you under 2$.
