almost any mechanic can work on ur car, its a vw
some dont like to work on vw's but they do
some dont like to work on vw's but they do

No...while they might be able to, the potential damage is not worth it. AAZ, AHU and PD's have their own quirks and short coming that must be corrected......IDI and TDI's should be worked on by someone who has experience with them. You don't want to F^^kup you injection pump because of a small circlip or spring missing or incorrectly installted. And you want the best performance and economy that you car get. yeah i noticed him but his workshop is almost an hour away from where i live..... just isnt worth the trip for the problem with my car... its just that the auxillary fan wont work and my car keep overheating on hot days so im guessing any mecanic can fix that right???

True but its just when you specified diesel mechanic I though you had a problem with your diesel system, you can check it the fuse on the shock tower still has a fuse or if it is all corroded away, clean the corrosion and in stall a new fuse(use wire just to see if this resovles the situation.)...Try to see a VW specialist, while VW are not beyond the relm of knowledge of average mechanics, you want someone who has seen this before and dosen't waste your time. Try Heinz garage in NDG......
