Forge's desription (from the email I got this morning):

It's arrived! Our latest valve is here and we would like to give you the opportunity to be one of the first to receive it.

For the VAG 2.0 litre FSiT engines, we now have the world's first fully engineered valve replacement solution, offering both significantly improved reliability as well as valve related boost response. Our valve and installation kit replaces the original unit with a pressure/vacuum operated piston valve that still retains the desirable, OEM ECU controlled valve actuation.
Available now for only $250 plus $10 shipping in the USA

Please order online through our website or if you require assistance please call or email.

so is the forge spacer completely useless???

man, do some research on the products you purchase. The spacer is a noise maker, that is all. It turns the stock DV into a fully atmospheric BOV. It can be used with the new valve as well to add some pssssh sound. I have a spacer, and it gets on my nerves sometimes. It will probably be comin off when I install the new valve.

ok sorry lol, so this DV just replaces the oem one so that it is more reliable? and r u around the south shore right now? i wanna hear what this pssshht sounds like with the spacer, pm me if ur available for like 5 mins

i'm not particularly knowledgeable about the topic, but if there is a potential problem with the existing DV then the forge one is money well spent!

I'm guessing you have already inquired but couldn't this part affect the warranty in the long run?

It's an known issue and the DV is under warranty. I've heard stories from different forums and they have torn their oem DV several times and they're fed up. This is happening to stock and chip cars.

Woohoo, mine came in today. No custom or duty fees.

Gonna install it on Thursday.

how do you know if it tears?

peaking 12 psi instead of 18-21..

no peak power ( no spike, just a gradual increase)

or simply by looking at it, youll see the tear. Also, Im pretty sure some people have reported CEL when tearing their DVs

^^that's correct.

Also, not everyone's CEL will come on.

yeah, thats what I trying to say, lol :p

Did you install it yet? If so, are you holding boost better now? Some ppl on the tex reported a 1-2 psi increase in boost after the install.

i don't have a boost gaauge to see the peak. Do you have to take the cover off the see the DV? What I noticed, is that I always hear a release of air while I'm accelerating, not flooring t or anything, just regular daily driving.
