So tomorrow if Its nice out Ill be changing the rad on my Mk3, and I wanted to know if any of you had any words of wisdom for me. I know its a long job ebcause I need to remove the bumper and rad support, so what should I look out for?

Yeah man, if you take the fan off the rad first you can remove the rad without taking apart the front end.

1) Drain your system of coolant
2) Disconnect all the hoses
3) Disconnect the fan wiring and the temp sensor wiring connectors
3) Unbolt the fan from the rad and remove it
4) Undo the 2 pin-bolts at the top of rad and the 2 bolts at the rad support
5) Point the top of the rad towards the cabin of the car and pull it out

As far as having AC is conserned, I'm not too sure. I don't know where the compressor is in the engine bay, but I know on my car that's how it's been done. (I don't have AC :p)

Worst case senario is though, that it doens't work and you have to take the front end apart anyways. If that's the case then you've already done a few things to help with the removal. Just give yourself enough time for an either or and be patient.

Good luck!

WEll its done, I went the route of taking off the front bumper, broke a fog light clip so now I need a new one :( Other then that it was smooth sailingm just need to find the 4 bolts for one of the headlights that I misplaced :p
