On my way back from St-Sauveur...decided to go for a little cruise & smoke some dubs by the water...take some pics!!

On the way home.... 5th gear VR6 @ 4500rpm ....I hear BEEP>>>>BEEP>>>BEEEP?? coming form the cluster then everything shuts down.

Checked the oil....it's at the right level.
Prestone is good......No smoke coming out from anywhere...Just died.

++This is the second engine this year I just had that one swapped in 3 weeks ago & have done under 500kms with it.


Anyone have that fu*king BEEEP sound from the cluster of your VR & what was the outcome????

ya same shit on my vr6 when i had it ...hit a pot hole then i heard beep beep beep ...cause it was the oil presser ...the oil light was goin crazy and it was cause i have a lil crack in the pan
 
Seems to me something was flashing when it all happened...
I got raped by the towing company too, side of the highway 15 South with no CAA.
Was $60 base + $2.50/km from St-Jerome to South Shore = $240+tip
Anyways we'll find out tomorrow...it's sitting there @ my mechanics.

Lesson so far = If you own a Dub get CAA gold
 
it hapen when the oil pressure sensor fail but your engine is still suppose too run

it should be more than that

give us some news
 
i don't know about vw but some computer systems will kill the spark when no oil pressure is triggered.

hope it is something small not something major.

Thanx guys...I appreciate it. I'm hoping it's something small too. I got bad luck though so we'll see!

I'm told it could be the timming chain & guides.....wich sucks 'cause I bought that engine strickly because the timming chain had already been changed along with the head gasket & water pump also.

Anyways ....I should have some news by the end of today & I'll post it. Seriously if you own a dub & mod it ......get CAA
 

So it's the timming chain. Knocked off a few of the guides & bent the cylinders...

Looks like no paint job this year...again

Should be all fixed by tommorow....so maybee I'll have her for my B-Day afterall


I guess it's God's way of saying "you suck ....hahahaha"
