PLEASE HELP!! my crx 91 special edition was stolen last night after having only been in my possession for two days. It was taken right outside my house with the "club" on and a temporary transit plate still stuck to the window. Devastation is an understatement for this loss. This car was my dream and now it is a total loss on insurance because i didn't even get a chance to have it inspected for 2way insurance on my policy. If anyone knows anything about its possible whereabouts, they most definitely have my word that they will be compensated!!!!! This is the second one that i have owned and had stolen right outside my front door. My red 90dx was stolen in december 2002 (also a total loss!)...I AM HEARTBROKEN. Thanks to all of those who reply........please email me with any info!! stolen just east of montreal downtown in villeray district..
 
euhm I think should you wonder from who you buy that's might be a case ! ifi the guy still got a key it would have been easy.

or it's where you got it registered !

that's just suck ! 2 times in a row damn it ! I can't imagine that ! where the hell do you live in ?

get something else than a honda ! :D ! lol ! and a nice damn alarm system with GPS etc... and until it's all installed just sleep in the car !

i dunno what else to say ! :cry: I understand you, that's probably damn bad ! :(
 
THAT SUCK! BUT I'M AGREE WITH WATEVER. BUT I THINK IT'S THE OLD OWNER WHO HAD AN ANOTHER KEY, HE MADE MONEY WITH YOU AND AFTER HE STOLE YOUR CAR TO MAKE A CASE WITH THEM AND SOLD IT AGAIN
 
Shit, sorry about your loss. So the insurance will not pay you because they have not evaluated the car yet right??? That sucks, same happened to me but they found my car after, just without the engine, tranny, mags etc... so everything came out of my pocket, what a piss off.

Well my bet is that the previous owner came back to get his car back and that it is now in pieces getting sold off or he kept the parts to fix up another CRX he will buy with the money you gave him. Drive buy his house now and then without being seen to see if a new CRX pops up in his driveway in the next couple of weeks, I'm sure you will find pieces of you CRX in there at one time or another.

I hate caps ... but anyway, I think that is the more acceptable scenario because it has been only 2 days man. Would should go over to this guys house with a crew of people and some baseball bats to scare him and he'll tell you the truth after you crack two or three ribs ...

some people need to learn the HARD way ! Irish Style !

and sorry about the lose, but things like this happen for a reason ... maybe to avoid a car accident with it or something ... ?
 
I know how you feel now because mine got stolen last week-end and i drive in only 2 weeks and i got a sick set-up (Ls Vtec rebuilt)
and me too i won't have cash for insurance
the only thing i could say is good luck
and if i heard anything that could help you i will contact you
and if you find the guy just kill that bastard !!
 
thanks to all that have replied. I doubt that it is the previous owner...he lives 7 hours away in ontario.....THERE IS NO WAY HE KNOWS WHERE I LIVE AND HE'S TOO FAR ANYWAY.!
these bastards took my car with the club still on it. I HEARD THE HORN HONKING ALL THE WAY UP MY STREET. tHEY TOOK IT OFF AS THEY WERE DRIVING. Sounds like a professional job!If anyone can teell me how to go about looking i would really appreciate it!
 
No offense but pros wouldnt take a CRX, PUNKS ASS LITTLE KIDS steal CRX's and other little civics, the clubs dont do anything they take 2 seconds to be cut off and to tell you the truth no matter what kind of alarm you put on it, even if you leave a pitbull in the backseat 24/7 if they want it enough they will get it!
I dont meen to be negative, but if you dont get your car back try to buy something else less in demand, cause everyone wants hondas! NONE of us are safe!!!

my car was entirely stock except for the ugly rims, no valuables inside, not even a radio (i bought it without one). They stole the car at 3:30am early monday morning!
 
Yep true, no pro is going to steal a CRX, no money to be made with those, they will steal more recent cars. This is a punk job. I'm really sorry for you again.
 
just a personal note....I still miss her like crazy!!!! I don't care if i get just a frame back, i just want something...at least to get something from insurance

Iv got my car stolen in 2000, it was an ugly old gray Honda Accord. I was to install the alarm system that day, they stole my oackleys, cdplayer, Mags, 30 cds and Sound system. Total price for the loss: 3000$. Insurance didn't believe me and gave me 800$... They found the car in East MTl... I live in laval. Now I get the alarm system first, "backup" cds and nothing interesting from the outside 4 thiefs... They should all die!!!!
 
i live in villeray too,,is there any info u can tell me to recognize it,,,i just got my sound system stolen and also my friends..so i would be more than happy to check it out
 
thanks to the crx montreal club for addressing my problem. If this car is still on the road, there might still be a chance, especially if punks stole it. The best way to recognize it is its paint job. The special edition was the only silver SI available in canada among all 2nd generation crxs. I believe the only other silver crx are the 88-89 dx models. Unless somebody changed the paint, this will be easy to spot , even if the decals have been removed. Keep in mind that mine was entirely stock, except that it was missing the OEM spoiler.

Hey, man . Where did you bought that . Go there and sleep in the car i'm sure it's the last owner . Maybe not him directelly but one of is friends ..... i'm sure ! too close of the trade . And it sound they did that fast . With the keys is easy and fast . And if you do it ine the few days after the trade you got the chance that the new owner did'nt have the time to install an anti-thef system .

Take the time and go there and wait .......you see a friend comming then follow him ......sound supide doing that , well if your heart is totally broken you've had nothing to loose.
