Are sahara's more durable?
If taken care off, are their motors able to endure more km before having to swap? (compared to tj's)

its about the same thing , a tj is more confortable then a yj . its the suspension thats different . but the mecanic is the same .

The TJ was introduced in 1997 if I recall. So a 1997 vs. 2000 is basicly the same thing unless you go for a new Wrangler.:D

the 4.0L inline 6 is indestructible.... mine has 320 000+ km (never rebuilt) and runs like new. it get beaten in the trail on a regular basis :D

The automaitic transmissions are also very tuff, as long as there is fluid in it it'll shift.

They are very tuff machines built to last.

X2 I have a 4.0 HO...

Some sahara have D44 rear axle with LSD and 4.10 gear and normal TJ have D35 ( cheaper) open with 3.07 or other...

Sahara is just athestic package, like different seat, plastic rocker guard etc.

The only d44 that came with 4.10 gear are rubicon d44, otherwise they all have 3.73.

On d35 you have 3.07, 3.73, and 4.10.
